Join Our Team!
As a small, community-driven organization, the Center for Law and Justice (CFLJ) relies on the dedication of passionate individuals—whether they’re employees, volunteers, or student interns—to power our mission of justice, equity, and empowerment. From supporting day-to-day office functions to assisting with programs, community outreach, and client engagement, every role contributes meaningfully to the Center’s impact.

CFLJ partners with Albany Medical College, the University at Albany’s Community Public Service Program (CPSP), and Siena College to host students focused on criminal justice reform, public health in underserved communities, and community-based service in Albany’s South End. We also welcome individuals from all backgrounds who want to contribute their time, skills, or professional expertise—diversity in experience helps broaden and deepen our work.
Internships are tailored to align with students’ academic requirements and career goals. While interns may support administrative and programmatic needs, they often engage in client-focused work or assist in legal consultations. Most internships culminate in a completed project or deliverable—such as managing the Center’s social media presence, developing an educational guide, or crafting a policy proposal—giving students the opportunity to gain practical experience and make a meaningful impact.

In addition to internships and volunteer opportunities, CFLJ offers employment roles for individuals committed to justice and community transformation. We seek team members who are collaborative, mission-driven, and ready to contribute to real systemic change.
