The Education and Advocacy Program is central to the Center for Law and Justice's (CFLJ) mission. This program empowers individuals and families by educating them about their rights and available resources. Through workshops, forums, and outreach, CFLJ provides actionable information that fosters awareness and equips communities to advocate for themselves.​
Our Methods include:

Producing community-centered research, reports, and opinion pieces to push the Center’s advocacy agenda and inform community activism.

Hosting workshops on topics such as legal rights, public speaking, and coalition building.

Engaging in direct advocacy with policymakers and allied organizations, including through organizations where CFLJ has a seat, such as L.E.A.D.

Conducting evaluations to refine program effectiveness and address emerging issues.

Advocacy and Policy Campaigns
CFLJ actively addresses pressing social justice issues through advocacy campaigns focused on:

Carceral reform, including the Zero Youth Detention Campaign.

Law enforcement reform, such as addressing police brutality and encouraging diversions from arrest through L.E.A.D..
