About the Event
The Dr. Alice P. Green Community Outreach Day is a community-centered annual event dedicated to honoring the life, legacy, and vision of Dr. Alice P. Green and her lifelong commitment to ensuring that community members have access to the resources, services, and support they need to thrive. Formerly known as the Center for Law and Justice’s Day of Service, this event brings together local organizations, service providers, advocates, and community leaders to connect Albany residents with vital programs and opportunities.
Through outreach, education, and direct engagement, the event provides community members with access to information and services related to health, housing, education, employment, youth programming, legal support, public assistance, and more. The Dr. Alice P. Green Community Outreach Day reflects Dr. Green’s belief that strong communities are built when people are empowered, informed, and connected to resources that support justice, equity, and opportunity for all.
